Nourish With Maura

Calling all sleep-deprived snack lovers, The Tenth’s Resident Postpartum Chef, Maura (@in_bloom_wellbeing), has been in the kitchen creating some delicious recipes just for you.

Chai Almond & Date Latte

Milky drinks are a great way to keep hydrated while in need of a little love. Chai spices are particularly supportive in Autumn as they balance the qualities of the season from an Ayurvedic perspective.


Ingredient highlights:

  • Almond Butter: Rich in healthy fats, vitamin E and helps stabilise blood sugar and energy levels

  • Collagen: Helps rebuild connective tissue, skin and joints

  • Chai Spice: Improves circulation, immune-supporting and helps reduce stagnation

  • Pink Salt: Rich in trace minerals, supports electrolyte balance, hydration and replenishment

The Recipe:

  • 1 cup of almond milk

  • 1 medjool date, pitted

  • ½ - 1 tablespoon almond butter

  • Splash of vanilla extract

  • Pinch of pink salt

  • ½ teaspoon chai spice blend (steenbergs make a lovely one)

  • 1 tablespoon collagen (optional)

Method:

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until well combined. Pour into a pan and gently heat on the hob until warmed.
