Chai Almond & Date Latte
Milky drinks are a great way to keep hydrated while in need of a little love. Chai spices are particularly supportive in Autumn as they balance the qualities of the season from an Ayurvedic perspective.
Ingredient highlights:
Almond Butter: Rich in healthy fats, vitamin E and helps stabilise blood sugar and energy levels
Collagen: Helps rebuild connective tissue, skin and joints
Chai Spice: Improves circulation, immune-supporting and helps reduce stagnation
Pink Salt: Rich in trace minerals, supports electrolyte balance, hydration and replenishment
The Recipe:
1 cup of almond milk
1 medjool date, pitted
½ - 1 tablespoon almond butter
Splash of vanilla extract
Pinch of pink salt
½ teaspoon chai spice blend (steenbergs make a lovely one)
1 tablespoon collagen (optional)
Method:
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until well combined. Pour into a pan and gently heat on the hob until warmed.
